Thoughts and Commentary on Today's Reading:

From our reading today, I would like to focus on Matthew 10:29-31, which says:
Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows."

One of the biggest challenges for people today is accepting the reality of God's love for them. And one of the biggest reasons people struggle with accepting the love of God is the moments of tragedy and deep suffering that they pass through in this life.

What about you? Have you gone through big trouble in your life? Has it ever been huge trouble that was faith shaking? Has darkness ever covered your life so fully that you have felt you were facing a "Mount Everest" of hurt or despair? If so, I believe this video by Louie Giglio will be a blessing in your life.

Yes, we will have trouble in this world. But there is reason to "take heart" in God. He really does love you! You are more precious to Him than many sparrows!
