Thoughts and Commentary on Today's Reading
In Malachi 3:6, we find one of the most definitive - and yet most forgotten - of Yahweh's characteristics. He is unchanging.Malachi 3:6 "For I Am Yahweh, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed."Now, as Christians, we all know this about Yahweh. He is unchanging - yep, we get it... But do we really?
Because He is unchanging, His Character is constant - this means that there is no difference between the New Testament God and the Old Testament. But how commonly is that understood? Many Christians find the Old Testament revelations of God to be severe and fearsome, while the New Testament revelations of God appear to be Someone Who is more loving. But in actuality, He has never changed.
Because He is unchanging, Yahweh's Law is also constant... This is another commonly misunderstood principle.
Did you know that the myth that God is changeable is part of a spiritual condition which the Bible calls "Wormwood"?
Consider the following video, titled "Wormwood Prophecy" by David Ben Yisrael. (It's just over five minutes in length, and well worth the watch.) As you view this video, consider the Words of Yahweh from our reading in Malachi today:
Malachi 3:6 "For I Am Yahweh, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed."
