Thoughts and Commentary on Today's Reading

Horns, in Scripture, represent power and strength. In Micah
4:13, there is a beautiful promise, which God gives us in symbolic language.
Micah 4:13 "Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto Yahweh, and their substance unto Yahweh of the whole earth."
To fully appreciate this blessing, we need to understand its meaning and application. Let's begin with the recipient. To whom is this promise given? Micah says this promise is made to the "daughter of Zion." But who is that? The term "daughter of Zion" is a reference to God's End-time people, who are also known as the Bride of Christ:
Jeremiah 6:2  "I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman."

Isaiah 51:16  "And I have put My Words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of Mine Hand, that I may plant the Heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art My people."
Zion, in this positive prophecy, are not just the professed people of God, they are the real deal. Zion is the group which has received the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the Latter Days.
Joel 2:23  "Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in Yahweh your God: for He hath given you the former rain moderately, and He will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the Latter Rain..."
Now that we have identified the recipient of this promise as God's End-time people, let's look carefully at what God is instructing and promising in this passage:
Micah 4:13 "Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto Yahweh, and their substance unto the Sovereign of the whole earth."
God's people are instructed to "arise" and "thresh". These are both action words, which clearly show that Yahweh's Kingdom has no wall flowers and no bench-warmers. No child of God will be sitting on the side lines while others do the work of harvesting souls. Each of us has a part to play in being about our "Father's Business", which is laboring for the salvation of souls. Jeremiah portrays the "threshing" work which is done by the people of God:
Jeremiah 51:33  "For thus saith Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel; The daughter of Babylon is like a threshingfloor, it is time to thresh her: yet a little while, and the time of her harvest shall come."
What is the message which the Kingdom of God uses to "thresh" a harvest of souls from the clutches of evil Babylon? It is the Message of the Fourth Angel from Revelation 18:
Revelation 18:1-4  "And after these things I saw another angel come down from Heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from Heaven, saying, Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues
Having established the recipient of the promise, and the part we are to play in receiving it, we are now ready to look at the powerful promise found in Micah 4:13:
Micah 4:13 "Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto Yahweh, and their substance unto Yahweh of the whole earth."
Not only are God's End-time people instructed to call the lost out of doomed Babylon, but also, we are assured of the power of God to do it!

Many times when Christians think of the formidable foes we all face in the Last Days we are tempted to be fearful. Within the cause of End-time Babylon, there are foes like: the global elite, the New World Order, the power of Rome, etc...  Yes, its a sobering list! But God's people are not to fear Babylon! In fact, Yahweh will empower His people to take Babylon down! So, if anyone is going to be fearful - it should be that Babylon is afraid of us!

In Micah, GOD is telling us that He will make our horn iron (meaning that we will be unstoppable and mighty in His power). This promise is echoed in Jeremiah also:
Jeremiah 51:20-21  "Thou (God's people) art My battle ax and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms; And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider (the military might of Babylon); and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider..."
One of the ways Yahweh does this is through the prayers of His people.

I have a friend who called me up and told me her amazing experience with God, prayer, and horns...  And it is a story that practically demonstrates God's promise in Micah and Jeremiah.

My friend, whom I will call Julia (not her real name), called me up about a year ago. She and her husband had been singing a hymn in Church which caused them both to come under heavy conviction. The lyrics included the statement about how they had taken back the ground of hell, etc. And as she sang it, she felt the impress of the Spirit asking, "how can you sing that? When have you ever taken back any of hell's ground?"

Shocked, Julia realized that she had been thoughtlessly singing and that indeed, she had never done anything offensive against the kingdom of hell.

As she talked this experience over with her husband, they were both impressed that God wanted them to go on the offensive against the devil and his kingdom. But they were unsure of what to do to specifically reclaim any of hell's ground.

About this time, Yahweh showed Julia and Ben (not her husband's real name either) the perfect Bible promise for this work. Sometimes the side of evil is called "Babylon", but it is also known as "Moab".
Jeremiah 48:25-26  "The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, saith Yahweh. Make ye him drunken: for he magnified himself against Yahweh: Moab also shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision."
Without revealing too much about their true identities, I will just say that Ben had ties to law enforcement. Using these ties, Ben discovered a way to go on the offensive against the kingdom of hell. Not far from where Julia and Ben lived, the satanists were planning a gathering - a convention - to gain their marching orders on how to best collaborate to advance the cause of hell in their region. The big meeting was to be attended by shamans and practitioners of darkness who were both local and traveling in from afar.

After praying about it, Julia and Ben were impressed that Yahweh did indeed want them to go as His instruments to "break the horn of Moab", bringing the devil's plans to ruin.

Two days before the convention was to take place, Ben and Julia went to the rented retreat armed with prayer, Jeremiah 48:25-26, and anointing oil. They marched around that property claiming the promise of Jeremiah. They asked God to break Moab's horn and to cause him to wallow in his vomit, bringing all his unholy plans to derision. As they prayed, they anointed the four corners of the property, the building, and a few other spots. Then they waited...

When the forces of darkness gathered at the intended meeting site, they had no sooner gotten out of their limos and Mercedes, when they became extremely ill!  Some began projectile vomiting even! Ben and Julia learned this result from a friend who worked at the site and was an eyewitness to the amazing answer to their prayers. None of the satanists were well enough to continue. They fled from the anointed ground - sick and confused!

Ben and Julia were overjoyed to see how Yahweh used their prayers to truly take back some of hell's ground - and bring its evil plots to confusion.

Such powerful prayers are needed by God's people in the times ahead. Yes, we are called to preach the Gospel. We are to call the lost out of Babylon. But we are to go even further in thwarting the devil's designs. Yahweh wants to use each of us to bring the kingdom of hell to its knees!
How powerful and effective is your prayer life? Why not try claiming Micah 4:13 and Jeremiah 48:25-26 and just see what God will do?
