Basis for our Studies this Year:
The Bible tells us that the “End (of the world) is declared from the “beginning” (Isaiah 46:10). Certainly, this means that the early Biblical record of human history bears End-time prophetic significance. But, it’s actually even more specific than that. The original Hebrew word translated as “beginning” in Isaiah 46:10 is תישאר (rê’shı̂yth). This is the root of Bereshith, which is the Hebrew name of the first Book of the Bible, “Genesis”. In other words, prophecies of the End of the World are found in the Book of Genesis.
The Torah is one of the five keys for unlocking End-time Prophecy… Prophecy is unlocked through the Statutes!
The Creation Week is the Spiritual Template for Sanctification:
The third Act of Creation: Day 2
· Yahweh
Creates the Waters and Divides the Water from the Water – Divided by Firmament
o
Genesis 1:6-7
“And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it
divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided
the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were
above the firmament: and it was so.”
o
Zion is divided out from Babylon –
these are the two kingdoms, represented as “waters”: “nations, kingdoms,
peoples”
o
Torah prohibits mingled seed (we are
called the “seed of Abraham”).
o
2 Corinthians 6:14-15 “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for
what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what
communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial?
Or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?”
§ The way we respond to people is
different depending upon their knowledge and choices…
§ If a brother or sister in the faith
leaves the Truth in an area and strays into sin – Matthew 18 prescribes what to
do
· Stage 1 - You go alone to the offender and
lovingly and truthfully (with prayer) try to show them the danger zone.
· Stage 2 – If the offender will not listen,
call for 2-3 other believers to go with you and all of you try to reclaim them
to the Truth.
· Stage 3 – If the offender will not listen to
the witnesses, get the whole church involved (the Body of Christ)
· Stage 4 – if the offender will not listen to
the church, they are to be expelled from fellowship
o
Matthew 18:17
And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he
neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a
publican.
· 1 Corinthians 5:5: "I have decided to deliver
such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be
saved in the Day of the Sovereign Yahshua."
o When someone is handed over to the devil “for the
destruction of the flesh”, they are removed from fellowship (since they’ve
rebelliously not heeded the Body of Christ) and now they enter the
Deuteronomy 28 Curses realm – reaping what they have sowed, which does destroy
their flesh.
§ What are the curses in Deuteronomy 28?
·
The person will find
affliction in the city and in the country
· Their food will be cursed
· Their animals will be
cursed (livestock)
· Their children will be
cursed
· They will experience
confusion, frustration (they will not succeed)
· They will experience
devastating sicknesses (fever, boils, blindness, madness)
· They will be defeated by
their enemies.
· They will experience
famine, oppression and exile.
· 1 Timothy 1:20: "Among these are Hymenaeus
and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan, so that they will be taught
not to blaspheme".
§ Love is manifested in 3 distinct
words in the NT:
· Agape – “For God so loved the world…” –
this is Heaven’s love manifested for everyone…
We likewise are told to “love” even our “enemies”… Love does not
tolerate evil… Also, in this stage, love is outpoured through the human
channel, and nothing comes back up the “tube” to the giver. So, the Grace of
Yah is flowing through the person – to bring living water to those around them,
and nothing from the world goes back into the believer…”
· Filio – Brotherly love – this is the stage
where soul-ties are formed… This is the
fellowship level… Brotherly love is reserved for those who are Growing in
Grace.
· Eros – Physical intimacy – which is
reserved for a husband and wife.
Fellowship with darkness is prohibited, as is concord
and communion:
· Acts 2:42 – defines fellowship as
including eating together and praying together
· Hebrews 10:24-25 – fellowship involves
meeting together (worship times and gatherings)
· We are prohibited from keeping
Passover unless we are circumcised – circumcision is of the heart, predominantly
(cutting out the known sin)
· Philippians 2:1-2 – gathering with
unity of mind and spirit is fellowship
· Koinonia is the partnership in the Gospel
– a common sharing of the blessings of Yahweh.
