Basis for our Studies this Year:
The Bible tells us that the “End (of the world) is declared from the “beginning” (Isaiah 46:10). Certainly, this means that the early Biblical record of human history bears End-time prophetic significance. But, it’s actually even more specific than that. The original Hebrew word translated as “beginning” in Isaiah 46:10 is תישאר (rê’shı̂yth). This is the root of Bereshith, which is the Hebrew name of the first Book of the Bible, “Genesis”. In other words, prophecies of the End of the World are found in the Book of Genesis.
The Torah is one of the five keys for unlocking End-time Prophecy… Prophecy is unlocked through the Statutes!
The Flood - Shadows of the Final Day of Atonement
Timelines from the Story of Noah: 40 Days
·
40 is the letter/number Mem in Hebrew – Mem
indicates “water”
o
Genesis 7:12 – in the Flood “it rained on the
earth 40 days and 40 nights”
o
Genesis 8:6 – after the Ark rested, Noah waited
40 days before sending out the raven/dove.
o
Genesis 50:3 – Joseph led the Egyptians in 40
days of embalming Jacob. Originally, embalming signified a person being
preserved for life.
o
Exodus 24:18; Exodus 34:28; Deuteronomy 9:9-18 –
Moses was 40 days on the Mountain (Sinai) with Yahweh 2x… first receiving the
Torah / Commandments… Second interceding
after the golden calf.
o
Numbers 13:25 – The twelve spies searched the
land of Canaan for 40 days… The outcome is life or death.
o
1 Samuel 17:16 – Goliath taunted Israel’s army
(and Yahweh) for 40 days… David appears to slay the giant and Israel is
delivered after 40 days.
o
1 Kings 19:8 – Elijah traveled 40 days and
nights to Horeb (Sinai) to encounter Yahweh…
o
Ezekiel 4:6 – the prophet lies on his side 40
days – for the iniquity of Judah.
o
Jonah 3:4 – “yet 40 days and Ninevah shall be
overthrown”. The warning of life or death is 40 days.
o
Matthew 4:2; Mark 1:13; Luke 4:2 – Yahshua
fasted 40 days. After which He was tempted by Satan – and was victorious.
Timelines from the Story of Noah: 120 years
·
Genesis 6:3
“And Yahweh said, My Spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is
flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.”
Days is Yome:
Many are quick to assume that this is the time Yahweh gave
the people of Noah’s day to clean up their act and be saved. However, the
Scripture record shows many cases of people living well beyond 120 years after
the Flood. This then leaves us with a question to what was the Creator was
referring?
First, let’s dispel some erroneously held beliefs. Noah did
not preach for 120 years as many teach and falsely assume. We first find that
Noah 500 when he had his three sons.
Genesis 5:32 reads “And Noah was five hundred years old: and
Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.”
Immediately after we have the Chapter 6 account of Yahweh
declaring the 120 year deadline and ordering Noah to build the ark.
Following the Biblical record, Noah was 500 years old when
he began building the ark if you follow the natural progression of the Genesis
account.
How old was Noah at the Flood?
Genesis 7:6 reads “And Noah was six hundred years old when
the flood of waters was upon the earth.”
Following the natural progression of events, Noah begins to
build the ark at 500 years of age and enters the ark at 600. This only gives us
a total of 100 years.
Here’s an example of “Day” being an “age”, as defined by
like terms:
·
Are there examples in Scripture where a “day”
means an “age” or a longer period of time? Yes!
·
One classic example is the warning to Adam in
the Garden of Eden.
·
Genesis 2:17 reads “But of the tree of the
knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that
thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
·
Did Adam die in the literal 24 hour period (day)
from when he ate from the forbidden Tree?
·
How old was Adam when he died (Genesis 5:5): 930
years old. So how did Adam die in the DAY that he ate from the Tree? (2 Peter
3:8)
o
2 Peter 3:8
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with
the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
So Genesis 6:3 cannot be referring to literal days, thus we
see that only 120 ages applies. So, is God planning to allow sin to continue
for 120,000 years? (With days being 1000 years).
- Or is there another “age”
to be more correctly applied here?
- Actually, the 120 in
Genesis 6:3 applies to Jubilees, which are also known as “ages”. This
means that we should expect 120 Jubilees from the Fall of Adam to the
final Jubilee.
Does the Jubilee Cycle Fit the 120 Prophecy?
·
The Creation Week is a shadow-picture of the
history of the world, after the Fall…
o
1st Day – labor
o
2nd Day – labor
o
3rd Day – labor
o
4th Day – labor
o
5th Day – labor
o
6th Day – labor
o
7th Day – REST
·
Just as the Creation week ended with the
Seventh-day Sabbath, so also the world will end at the conclusion of the final
Sabbatical, bringing us into the final Jubilee
·
Leviticus_25:9 “Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the Jubilee to sound on
the tenth day of the seventh month, in the Day of Atonement shall ye
make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.”
o
The figurative Door to Life (Probation) will
close on the Final Day of Atonement…
Notably, Jubilees start on the Day of Atonement.
The whole world has existed
(demonstrated by the Biblical genealogies) for exactly 1 figurative week of
Yahweh’s Time, with each day being a 1000 year period (2 Peter 3:8).
Hosea 6:1-2 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath
torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. After
two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall
live in His sight.
Based upon Ussher’s chronology
(calculated based upon the Biblical genealogies) Creation took place in 4004
BC. Thus, 27-28 AD fell on the 4th day – or in the 4000th year since Creation.
Hosea 6:1-2 foretold that Yahshua
would die, and then He would heal us and revive us two days after His death. We
weren’t literally revived two days later. But in terms of thousand years, the
Jubilee of 2027-2028 is exactly two days from 27-28 AD!
The Book of Jubilees is relatively
new, appearing roughly in the time of the Maccabees… This book said to calculate Jubilees by 49…
so it was a 49 year cycle.
But Pentecost is a shadow of the
Jubilees… it is the 50th
day… Counting 7 Sabbaths… 49 days… And then Shavuot is the 50th day.
Notably when Solomon’s Temple
stood, Jewish writings tell us that full 50-year Jubilees were calculated.
