Basis for our Studies this Year:
The Bible tells us that the “End (of the world) is declared from the “beginning” (Isaiah 46:10). Certainly, this means that the early Biblical record of human history bears End-time prophetic significance. But, it’s actually even more specific than that. The original Hebrew word translated as “beginning” in Isaiah 46:10 is תישאר (rê’shı̂yth). This is the root of Bereshith, which is the Hebrew name of the first Book of the Bible, “Genesis”. In other words, prophecies of the End of the World are found in the Book of Genesis.
The Torah is one of the five keys for unlocking End-time Prophecy… Prophecy is unlocked through the Statutes!
The Flood - Shadows of the Final Day of Atonement
The Last Days is the period of Probation before Judgment
· The
Last Days in the Time of Noah was almost 1000 years
·
Chuck Missler explains in the Koinonia House
website article “Meanings of the Names in Genesis 5, “The Flood of Noah did
not come as a surprise. It had been preached on for four generations. But
something strange happened when Enoch was 65”. Enoch was given a prophecy that
as long as his son was alive, the judgment of the flood would be withheld, but
as soon as he died the flood would be sent forth.’
·
Enoch named his son to reflect this prophecy.
The name Methuselah comes from two roots:
o
muth a root that means “death”
o
and from shalach which means “to
bring” or “to send forth”.
o
Thus, the name Methuselah signifies “his death
shall bring”.
Zephaniah 1:18 “Neither their silver nor their
gold shall be able to deliver them in the Day of Yahweh’s Wrath; but the
whole land shall be devoured by the fire of His jealousy: for He shall
make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.”
Zephaniah 3:8 “Therefore wait ye upon Me, saith
Yahweh, until the Day that I rise up to the prey: for My determination is
to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them Mine
indignation, even all My fierce Anger: for all the earth shall be
devoured with the Fire of My jealousy (holy Zealousness).”
Jude 1:7 “Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the
cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and
going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the
vengeance of eternal Fire.”
•
Mark 13:31 “Heaven and earth
shall pass away: but My Words shall not pass away.”
•
Matthew 24:35 “Heaven and
earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
A New Heaven and a New Earth… New Jerusalem
Revelation 21:2 “And I John saw the holy city, new
Jerusalem, coming down from God out of Heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for
her husband.”
Isaiah 51:6 “Lift up your eyes to the heavens,
and look upon the earth beneath; for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke,
and the earth shall wax old like a garment; and they that dwell therein shall
die in like manner: but My Salvation shall be for ever, and My righteousness
shall not be abolished.”
2 Peter_3:10 “But the Day of Yahweh will come
as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a
great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and
the works that are therein shall be burned up.”
2 Peter_3:12 “Looking for and hasting unto the
coming of the Day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be
dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat.”
Isaiah 65:17-18 “For, behold, I create new
heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor
come into mind. But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I
create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.”
Revelation 21:1 “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.”
There was a water layer above the air, which came down at
the Flood… So the water came from within
the earth and from the sky at the Flood.
In the End, the fire will also come from the sky and from
the earth.
