Torah Class - Day 35: Commandment 4: Feast of First Fruits - Pentecost (Part 2)

Today, we continued our study of the Feast of First Fruits and Pentecost - and the harvests of barley and wheat. In context of the sealing of these "grains", we are studying Acts 1:8:

"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

Today, we continued our study of Passover. We discussed that the Passover Lamb offering was not just a sacrifice, it was the quintessential sacrifice which Messiah most fully identified with in His Death.

Torah Class - Day 28: Commandment 4: Passover (Part 3)

Today, we continued our study of Passover. We found that the Passover Seder Meal is eaten starting prior to sunset on Abib 14 (Passover) and carries into the eve of Abib 15 (first Day of Unleavened Bread)...  This is why Unleavened Bread is eaten at the Seder (since we are only commanded to eat unleavened bread for seven days).

We also saw that the Passover-Seder-Egypt story is a powerful proof that the day begins at sunset, not in the morning, as many believers have come to think. This is because the Statutes plainly state that the Children of Israel killed the Passover (lamb) on Abib 14 and ate the meal (including the lamb) that night. Then they actually left Egypt on Abib 15, at night. 

So, after eating the Seder on the eve of Abib 15 (the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread), when it was dark, the Children of Israel began their Exodus journey. Clearly, Abib 15 began before sunrise.
