Torah Class: Day 70 - Lessons in the Exodus - Introduction

Basis for our Studies:

The Bible tells us that the “End (of the world) is declared from the “beginning” (Isaiah 46:10). Certainly, this means that the early Biblical record of human history bears End-time prophetic significance. But, it’s actually even more specific than that. The original Hebrew word translated as “beginning” in Isaiah 46:10 is תישאר (rê’shı̂yth). This is the root of Bereshith, which is the Hebrew name of the first Book of the Bible, “Genesis”. In other words, prophecies of the End of the World are found in the Book of Genesis.

The Torah is one of the five keys for unlocking End-time Prophecy… Prophecy is unlocked through the Statutes!

The Lessons and Tests of Israel in the Wilderness are Prophetic - for the Last Days

1 Corinthians 10:1-6 – The experiences, lessons and tests of Israel in the Wilderness are “examples” for us.

1 Corinthians 10:11 - “Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.”

Israel was being delivered from Egypt – Egypt represents the realm of sin and darkness

·       Israel is in bondage in Egypt…

·       Egypt – the ancient Egyptian name for it is silor, means “black” or “darkness”

o   Light in Scripture represents Truth – Psalm 119:105

o   Darkness is deception – the absence of Truth – John 3:19-20

·       In Revelation 18, Yahweh calls His people out of darkness – spiritually, we all take the journey…

There are 42 Campsites – Numbers 33 – from Egypt to Canaan

·       Yahweh’s Name – His most epic Name revealed to man – which is the sealing Name – is 42 letters long…  Translated into English, it is “I AM that I AM”…  This actual Name has 42 Hebrew letters, as follows:

This is the Sealing Name of Yahweh:

Revelation 14:1  And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

The first trait of the Bride of Christ is that she is trustworthy—but not just, in general. More specifically, her Husband can trust her with His Heart! “The heart of her Husband doth safely trust in her, so that He shall have no need of spoil. She will do Him good and not evil all the days of her life.” Proverbs 31:11-12

Believers are always talking about the trustworthiness of Yahweh. But how often do we think of being trustworthy to Him? This idea seems strange! In fact, the thought that Yahweh might be looking for trustworthy people is as foreign to us as blessing God. We ask for His blessing to be upon us. But we don’t think of blessing Him.

Yet David wrote, “Bless Yahweh, O my soul. And all that is within me, bless His holy Name!” Ps 103:1 THE RUBY WOMAN... When we stop to think about it, we must admit that this way of thinking is deeply self-centered. Yet, our expectation of receiving good from Yahweh, without considering reciprocation, is so pervasive that it functions as an undetected undercurrent, impacting our relationship with Yahweh in ways we do not comprehend. What does it mean for the Bride to be one in whom her Husband’s Heart these individuals?

All were exceptional, yet ordinary people. They are the kind of people God continues to look for and calls us to emulate. The list of those who possessed whole-hearted love for Yahweh reads like a “who’s who” in the spiritual “hall of faith”:

o   Noah was called “righteous and perfect in his generations” and built a means of salvation for all who would listen. (Gen. 6:9) can safely trust? Yahweh is looking for people who are safe to save! The Plan of Redemption involves putting a final end to sin.

o   Nahum 1:9 tells us that “affliction” will not rise up a second time. Without stripping free will from His creation, how can Yahweh make such a strong and assuring Promise? Once the kingdom of hell is destroyed and the earth made new, how can we know that sentient beings will never again choose to rebel against their Creator?

o   The only way to guarantee that another rebel won’t arise in the distant days of sinless eternity is to be certain that every person loves Yahweh, wholeheartedly. Love is the fulfilling of the Law (Romans 13:10). If we love Him, we will keep His Commandments (John 14:15)—which is the opposite of rebellion (1 John 5:2). In perfect love, there is no fear of anything (1 John 4:18), because there is no risk of rebellion in perfect love.

o   Thus, Yahweh is seeking people to save who are safe to bring into the sinless Eternity! This is why Yahweh seeks our whole-hearted devotion.

2 Chronicles 16:9  For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

In Hebrew, 42 is a very significant number, found at the root of Creation and re-Creation. It is represented by two Hebrew letters (which double as numbers):

In the 42 Campsites of Israel, listed in Numbers 33, we find the process of getting Egypt out of us – which is the Sealing Work. We need the 42-stage process for Sealing because Sealing doesn’t change the fruit, it seals what is…

What is being worked on in each Test/Lesson is ONE THING: Shema – Love Yahweh with all your heart, soul and might

·       Deuteronomy 6:4-9  “Hear (shema: to hear intelligently, to pay attention, obey, be a witness and proclaim / live it for others to see), O Israel (those that bear the 42 letter Name): Yahweh our God is one (primary, solely God, supreme, first) Yahweh: And thou shalt love Yahweh thy God with all thine heart (emotions, innermost being), and with all thy soul (breath, will – choices), and with all thy might (strength). And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house (that’s our down-time of resting, at the end of day), and when thou walkest by the way (in the commute, travel time), and when thou liest down (when you first lay down and before you fall asleep at night), and when thou risest up (when you first wake up in the morning). And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes (we are sealed in the forehead and hand… the Shema is the Sealing). And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.”
