Torah Class: Day 62 - Praying Through the Sanctuary: The Holy Place (Bridal Chamber)

Basis for our Studies:

The Bible tells us that the “End (of the world) is declared from the “beginning” (Isaiah 46:10). Certainly, this means that the early Biblical record of human history bears End-time prophetic significance. But, it’s actually even more specific than that. The original Hebrew word translated as “beginning” in Isaiah 46:10 is תישאר (rê’shı̂yth). This is the root of Bereshith, which is the Hebrew name of the first Book of the Bible, “Genesis”. In other words, prophecies of the End of the World are found in the Book of Genesis.

The Torah is one of the five keys for unlocking End-time Prophecy… Prophecy is unlocked through the Statutes!

Praying through the Sanctuary:

Praying through the Sanctuary, as one experiences each Space and piece of Furniture, in order, can dramatically empower and enhance our prayer lives. It helps us have all the “ingredients” needed for effective prayer.

The Psalmist actually tells us that in praying through the Sanctuary, we will come to more intimately know Yahweh.

Psalm 77:11-13“I will remember the works of Yahweh: surely I will remember Thy Wonders of old. I will meditate also of all Thy Work, and talk of Thy Doings. Thy Way, O God, is in the Sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God?”

Sanctuary Prayer Ingredient #8: The Bread of Presence - the Table of Shewbread:

· We eat in His Presence – that’s communion!

What did we lose in Eden at the Fall? It wasn’t just a loss of innocence….  We also lost Communion…  Nearness…  Table fellowship…  Walking with Yahweh…

Inside the Tabernacle Yahweh establishes a sacred Meal imagery is portrayed at the center of worship.

·       Exodus 25:30 - “You shall set the Bread of the Presence on the Table before Me regularly.”

·       There are 12 loaves on the Table representing the 12 Tribes of Israel – Leviticus 25:4-9

·       The Bread of Presence is renewed every Sabbath – Leviticus 24:5-8 “Every Sabbath day Aaron will arrange it (the Bread of Presence) before Yahweh regularly.”

·       On the Day that commemorates Creation (Eden), Redemption and restoration in the Kingdom, the Bread is renewed…  Fellowship renewed…  Covenant renewed… Communion renewed…

·       The purpose in eating is Communion with Yah – and He with us

·       The Bread of Presence is not only displayed – the priests actually ate it (Leviticus 24:9)… So, the Bread is not only looked at, but it’s not admiration, it’s about provision – those who serve in Yahweh’s House (Israel) are to partake of the Bread.

·       Long before John 6 – the Last Supper – the Tabernacle teaches us that nearness to Yahweh (Bread of Presence) is something we are to partake of – personal, not merely observe.

·       Yahshua is the Bread of Life – John 6:35

·       Yahshua said, at the Last Supper, that the Bread signified His Body – Luke 22:19

·       In the Table of Shewbread is the daily partaking of – with special increased levels of partaking on Sabbath – the Covenant…  and Presence

·       Biblically eating in Yahweh’s Presence is enormous

·       Matthew_4:4  “But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

·       Luke_4:4  “And Yahshua answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word of God.”

Sanctuary Prayer Ingredient #9: The Altar of Incense:

·       Exodus 30:1-6 – the Altar of Incense represents prayer…  It is acacia wood, overlaid with gold…

·       Incense is burned on the Altar every morning and evening

o   Exodus 30:7-8  “And Aaron shall burn thereon sweet incense every morning: when he dresseth the lamps, he shall burn incense upon it. And when Aaron lighteth the lamps at even, he shall burn incense upon it, a perpetual incense before Yahweh throughout your generations.”

·       Psalm 141:2 “Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.”

·       Revelation 5:8 the prayers of the saints (Saved) are the incense… Incense is delightfully fragrant…  And this is the picture of what our prayers are like to Yahweh.

Prayer is not about how we’re feeling that day – we most need to pray when we don’t feel like it… And it isn’t an emergency response system…  It’s continual breathing of Covenant Life! Breathing is not occasional…  It’s constant…
