Basis for our Studies:
The Bible tells us that the “End (of the world) is declared from the “beginning” (Isaiah 46:10). Certainly, this means that the early Biblical record of human history bears End-time prophetic significance. But, it’s actually even more specific than that. The original Hebrew word translated as “beginning” in Isaiah 46:10 is תישאר (rê’shı̂yth). This is the root of Bereshith, which is the Hebrew name of the first Book of the Bible, “Genesis”. In other words, prophecies of the End of the World are found in the Book of Genesis.
The Torah is one of the five keys for unlocking End-time Prophecy… Prophecy is unlocked through the Statutes!
The Lessons and Tests of Israel in the Wilderness are Prophetic - for the Last Days
1 Corinthians 10:1-6 – The experiences, lessons and tests of Israel in the Wilderness are “examples” for us.
1 Corinthians 10:11 - “Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.”
What is being worked on in each Test/Lesson is ONE THING: Shema – Love Yahweh with all your heart, soul and might
· Deuteronomy 6:4-9 “Hear (shema: to hear intelligently, to pay attention, obey, be a witness and proclaim / live it for others to see), O Israel (those that bear the 42 letter Name): Yahweh our God is one (primary, solely God, supreme, first) Yahweh: And thou shalt love Yahweh thy God with all thine heart (emotions, innermost being), and with all thy soul (breath, will – choices), and with all thy might (strength). And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house (that’s our down-time of resting, at the end of day), and when thou walkest by the way (in the commute, travel time), and when thou liest down (when you first lay down and before you fall asleep at night), and when thou risest up (when you first wake up in the morning). And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes (we are sealed in the forehead and hand… the Shema is the Sealing). And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.”
Campsite #1: Succoth (Temporary Shelter)
·
Israel is coming out of Rameses, in Egypt… Rameses means “born of Ra (the sun god)” or “son
of Ra”… Yahweh’s people are called out
of Babylon (Babylon and Egypt are both the places of sun-worship in Bible Prophecy)…
Like Revelation which calls us out of Babylon, we must come of Egypt – the place
of false worship, idolatry, and sun-centeredness…
o
Revelation 18:4 “And I heard another voice from Heaven, saying, Come out of her (Babylon,
aka Egypt), My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye
receive not of her plagues.“
·
Israel is counted as Yahweh’s Firstborn – Exodus
4:22… Moses was instructed to tell Pharaoh, at the outset, that Israel was
Yahweh’s Firstborn (with the birthright, with the blessing, with the leadership/responsibility
of the House… and the Covenant of Abraham) and failure to release Israel would
result in Egypt’s firstborn being slain.
o Every saved believer is counted as
“Heirs according the Promise (Firstborn)”
§ Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as have
been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek,
there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are
all one in Christ Yahshua. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye
Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
·
Notice
also that Yahweh’s people are not called “Jacobites”! They are called “Israelites”,
which clearly indicates that the meaning of Israel applies to us all… Israel means “as a prince he has prevailed
with Yahweh”… Israel (as a people) are defined by Jacob wrestling that night… Seeking of Yahweh, His blessing so
wholeheartedly that Jacob would be willing to die rather than to not receive
it.
You’ve
come out of Egypt… BUT ARE YOU ISRAEL?
·
We
need to want HIM more than air! – We are to be those who prevail with Yahweh.
We need
to be fully covered under the Blood
· Except ye repent ye shall all
likewise perish, Luke 13:3.
· He that believeth not is
condemned already, John 3:18.
· He that believeth not shall be
damned, Mark 16:16.
· That they all may be damned
who believe not. 2 Thessalonians 2:12.
At Succoth, the lesson is to
Fear Yahweh and to come under the Blood of the Passover Lamb… In the same way that the blood on the doorpost
symbolized Divine Protection amidst Judgment, so also the Sukkah, represents
the overshadowing Wings of Protection from Yahweh.
· “The fear of Yahweh is the
beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do His
Commandments: His praise endureth for ever.” Psalm 111:10
o
Fear is demonstrated in
reverence… awe… worship…
o Consider the literal meaning of the word
Sukkah," says the Sfas Emes. "While it is customarily translated as
'hut,' it may also be related to the word 'Socheh' -- to gaze ahead (i.e. to
peer into the future). The Sukkah
calls upon its occupants to shed their physical limitations, look beyond… This is to see that the journey is about the
Ultimate Promised Land.
